Location: Ayrsome Road, London N16
Lead Pimpers: Anonymous
First planted: Unknown
Documented: 7 June 2010
Description: This quiet residential street in Stoke Newington has become a gently competitive avenue of pimped pavements. One resident began and others have followed. Most of the planting is colourful annuals, but someone had even managed to squeeze a rose into the small space. I learned about it from members of an audience I was speaking to at Stoke Newington Literary Festival. Someone did give me a name, but in my general disorganisation I’ve mislaid it. Further information very welcome.
