Description: This prominently placed tree pit on a busy street around a ginko tree first caught my eye on my regular commuting route from Elephant and Castle to Victoria. It was first planted with pansies left over from Paul Harfleet’s award winning Hampton Court Palace Conceptual Garden, later added to with tulips and crocus, but as my work place had changed so had my attentiveness to this patch and it had reverted to scrappy ground. More recently it has been replanted with geranium and saxifrage that was left over after the Pimp Your Pavement installation in Trafalgar Square.
